Tucson headlines: Home invasion arrests; Business fire; Major I-10 backup

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A long-running home invasion investigation ended Tuesday with four men arrested with the help of a SWAT team.

The four suspects are charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery as well as other crimes.

Detectives believe they were involved in illegally selling weapons and drugs. They were busted Tuesday night at the El Con Mall parking lot.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- There was a fire at Baggin's Sandwich Shop East Pima location about 1 A.M. Wednesday.

When firefighters arrived there was smoke and flames inside. They say it started in the kitchen.

The East Pima Baggins will be closed for several weeks for repairs, but a nearby location at Broadway and Craycroft just opened.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- There were major backups on I-10 eastbound Wednesday after two semi-trucks collided under the J-6 Ranch/Mescal Road bridge.

It resulted in a fire that damaged the bridge structure. 

Traffic was closed for several hours as engineers assessed the damage.  At one point, there was almost a 5 mile backup along the interstate.  As of Wednesday night, the bridge was still closed to car traffic.
