Warmer tomorrow and cool-down starts ThursdayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – Above-average temperatures continue, and it’s looking more and more like we’re going to hit 90 degrees for the first time Wednesday, but it’s not going to last.
Plan on a high of about 87 degrees under partly sunny skies on Tuesday, and then 90 degrees on Wednesday. If we do hit 90 degrees, it will be about two weeks earlier than usual, but not a record-breaker.
The mercury is going to reverse itself after that, dropping back to the 80s for Thursday and Friday, 70s Saturday and Sunday, and then just 68 on Monday.
A storm hovering off the West Coast is what’s going to bring us that serious cool-down. It’s also going to bring a slight chance on rain by Sunday evening, with a better chance – 30 percent -- on Monday, which will be the first full day of spring.
