TUCSON, Ariz. -- Two people were sent to the hospital after getting into a fight with another couple near 44th Street and 6th Avenue.

According to Tucson police, a woman was stabbed and a man was hit with a blunt object.

Two suspects, another man and woman, were located near I-10 and 6th Avenue and they were detained for questioning.

Both victims are expected to be okay.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A 16-year-old Tucson boy was shot and killed after he tried breaking into a home.  It happened on Mission Road south of Calle Guadalajara.

Police found Jacob Wilkens on a sidewalk.  A friend claimed he was the victim of a drive-by shooting, but police later learned of the attempted home invasion.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say the victim of a shooting Tuesday night outside the Super 8 Motel on Grant Road near I-10 is expected to live.

Police say the 28-year-old male victim was shot by two or three men who to took off in a green car.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson couple will spend prison time for locking their 9-year-old grandson in a closet two years ago.

Becky and Larry Tortellet kept the boy from going outside or going to school.

When deputies found him, he weighed just 48 pounds and was unable to read or write.

Larry will spend a year and a half in prison while Becky will spend two and a half years.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Tucson man arrested a year ago on charges of kidnapping and assaulting an 11-year-old girl is on trial for some of his charges.

Steve McPherson is standing trial on child pornography charges stemming from what police found on his computer after arresting him.

His trial on kidnapping and assault charges will be held separately.
