Oxycodone thieves hit 2 WalgreensPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police are looking for two suspects who reportedly stole oxycodone from two Valley Walgreens Monday morning.
Officer David Pubins with the Scottsdale Police Department said two suspects entered the Walgreens at Granite Reef Road and McDonald Drive shortly before 10 a.m.
The suspects gave a note to the pharmacist asking for oxycodone, a narcotic drug used to treat moderate to severe pain. The note also mentioned a weapon.
Pubins said no weapon was seen and the suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of the drug.
Forty-five minutes later, the two suspects committed the same type of robbery at the Walgreens at 56th Street and Thomas Road in Phoenix.
Both suspects are described as white males in their 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches and approximately 150 pounds. One suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect had short red hair.
No injuries were reported in either incident and no vehicle was seen.
