Nice warm-up coming our way this week

PHOENIX – After the second consecutive weekend of rain in the Valley and snow in the high country, we’ve got a sunny week ahead with highs returning to the 70s thanks to a ridge of high pressure that’s building in.

The weekend storm dumped about a foot of snow up north, and ½ inch of rain in the Valley.

Plan on a high of 66 degrees under mostly sunny skies Monday. The overnight low will be 46 under partly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow will be about 73 with clouds moving in as the afternoon progresses.

We should be in the upper 70s by Thursday. We could even hit 80 by the weekend, which looks to be warm and dry.

Storm off in the Pacific could bring some changes next week, but it’s a bit too early to say anything definitive.
