Woman allegedly steals sister's identity for medical treatment

MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Mesa police say a woman has been arrested on suspicion of stealing her sister's identity.
They say 30-year-old Crystal Wilson was taken into custody Wednesday. Wilson's sister turned her in to police for allegedly using her information to receive treatment at Mesa's Banner Desert Medical Center.
The unidentified victim had received a bill for the medical procedure that was performed in January for her sister, who she said used her insurance and personal information without her knowledge.
The East Valley Tribune says Wilson told police she used her sister's personal information to have the kidney stones removed because she had been refused treatment.
Police say Wilson also admitted that she had given her sister's personal and insurance information to an urgent-care facility in Tempe last week.
