Southwest Indian Art Fair ends, Engineering week kicks of at U of A

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The 18th Annual Southwest Indian Art Fair ended its run at the Arizona State Museum Sunday.

About 180 artists were represented at the fair.

The event had live demonstrations by artists themselves.

Also at the U of A sunday, engineering week kicked off.

Students participated in an "Explore Tucson" seek-and-find contest where they had to search throughout the city for various items.

Then they brought them back to campus at the end of the day.

Some students traveled as far as Mount Lemmon.

About 20 students partcipated in the four hour project.

E-week continues with a pageant and an airplane design competition scheduled for tomorrow.

Engineering students throughout the country are also celebrating.
