Arizona's Derrick Williams adding to star power

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Derrick Williams was buried beneath a pile of teammates when Arizona's fans started chanting "One more year!"

The way he's playing, it may be wishful thinking.

One thing's for certain, though: Williams is quickly putting himself in elite company in this tradition-rich program.

Even as he plays through the pain of a badly sprained pinky, Williams has been one of the best players in the country this season. The sophomore power forward is averaging 19.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and shooting 67 percent from 3-point range for the 12th-ranked Wildcats.

Williams had arguably the best game of his career Saturday night, getting 26 points, 11 rebounds and a game-saving block into the stands in the closing seconds against Washington.
