Arizona House to consider abortion restrictionsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona House on Monday is scheduled to consider bills to place new restrictions on abortions.
One bill would impose staffing and facilities requirements for abortion providers that Planned Parenthood says will force it to stop providing medication abortions in satellite clinics in Flagstaff, Prescott and Yuma.
Medication abortions now account for half the abortions performed in Arizona, according to a state report.
Another bill would bar abortions for race or sex selection.
