Paradise Valley home goes up in flamesPosted: Updated:
PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. - Two people were injured after flames shot out of a showcase home in Paradise Valley.
It took well over an hour to bring the second alarm fire under control on Thursday afternoon.
The home, near Scottsdale and Doubletree Ranch roads, was under construction.
A cabinet repair worker was in the home doing repairs, but it is not known if that started the fire.
Investigators will get in the home and determine how the blaze started.
The mother and adult son were inside the home at the time the fire started and got out safely, but a Paradise Valley police officer suffered smoke inhalation and a construction worker suffered burns.
The two were transported to the hospital, but their injuries are non-life threatening
No word on the total damage estimate.
