PHOENIX - Phoenix police have arrested a man they say was sharing images of very young children being sexually abused.

In December, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation into Jeffrey Eberlein, 22.

Police discovered Eberlein was utilizing a file-sharing program to share over the Internet the images of very young children being sexually abused.

A search warrant was served in mid-December, but according to Phoenix police, the complicated nature of the investigation prevented police from arresting Eberlein until Wednesday.

Large quantities of images were located in Eberlein's possession at the time of his arrest.

Sgt. Steve Martos said Eberlein's former occupation allowed him access to a number of young small children.

Police also learned a young unknown child would visit Eberlein in his home near Van Buren and 32nd streets.

Eberlein is facing 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police are asking anyone with information on this suspect to call the Crimes Against Children Task Force at 602-650-3178.
