Adopt-a-rat program from the Humane Society of Southern Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. -- If you're looking for a pet, but not into cats or dogs. The Humane Society has a special that might be up your alley.

Ten celebrity rats went up for adoption Tuesday. They're celebrities because they are 10 of the 1,000 rats rescued from a California home featured on the A and E show 'Hoarders.'

"They're low maintenance pets. They're lovable and they just really like to be social animals," said Lindsay Bruno from the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

The rats are less than a year old and will be adopted in pairs.  You can find them at the Pawsh Adoption Center in Park Place Mall.
