Ronald McDonald House birthdayPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A non-profit organization in Tucson that helps hundreds of families of seriously ill children celebrated a big birthday Sunday. The Ronald McDonald house charities of Southern Arizona have been around for 30 years.
The theme of the party was "There's No Place like Home" and for the out of town families who live at the house while their children stay at the hospital, those words couldn't ring more true.
"It probably buys them an extra hour and a half to two hours a day that they can spend with their loved ones who are at the hospital," said Ronald McDonald House Board President Michael Greenbaum.
The Ronald McDonald house serves nearly 600 families every year.
