Tucson gem show features unique specimensPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Tucson Gem and Mineral Society's show at the Tucson Convention Center is now it its 57th year. This year's theme is "Minerals of California."
"This is a good representation of most of the important California specimens. You've got the L.A. County Museum, you've got Harvard, you've got Yale. They've all brought their very, very best California specimens," said Wayne Leicht from Kristalle Minerals & Gold Specimens.
This year's show includes some of the largest gold nuggets ever found in California.
The show also features the Ausrox gold specimen in its first showing outside of Australia.
The show runs through Sunday.
