Tibetan film festival in TucsonPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The first annual Tibetan film festival was held in the Old Pueblo Sunday at St. Gregory's school. Two films were shown, "Brillant Moon" and "The Unmistaken Child."
"Films depicting something about Tibetan culture, or the situation in Tibet, or... is much more valuable than many, many words," said Peggy Hitchcock from the Arizona Friends of Tibet.
The group will its next film festival on march ninth, to coincide with International Women's Day. Two films on the women of tibet will be shown at that event.
