CHANDLER, Ariz. --  It' National Letter of Intent Day, the first day high school seniors can sign binding letters of intent for college sports.

This year's class is one of the most impressive for high-school offensive-line talent that the state of Arizona has ever seen. Unfortunately, none of those athletes are signing with Arizona State University. They are also leery of University of Arizona.

Brad Cesmat talked to one of the high-school football players who was celebrating National Letter of Intent Day at Marjerle's in Chandler. Cesmat's first question for Auburn-bound Christian Westerman of Chandler Hamilton High School: Why not ASU?

According to ESPN, Westerman, who had originally committed to Texas last April, is the No2. offensive tackle in the country.

Westerman told Cesmat quite candidly that he has never been a fan of ASU or U of A.

"I've always been a fan of the bigger schools," he said. "Just being honest."

Westerman, who was born and raised in Arizona, also said he's always wanted to go out of state.

"I think it's time to see something new."
