TEMPE, Ariz. – Police have positively confirmed that the body pulled from Tempe Town Lake Friday morning belongs to 24-year-old Willie Jigba.

The Tempe Police Department’s Identification Unit came to their conclusion using latent fingerprint analysis.

An autopsy was conducted Monday morning on Jigba’s body but he had not been positively identified by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office.

No signs of trauma were found on Jigba’s body. Preliminary information indicates he may have drowned but that will not be confirmed until toxicology reports are made available.

Jigba was last seen leaving a house party in the area of Scottsdale Road and Weber Drive on Jan. 15.

Tempe police are treating this case like a death investigation. Detectives say there is nothing to suggest foul play played a part in Jigba’s death.
