PHOENIX -- Police are looking for three suspects who took more than $100,000 in prescription drugs from a Phoenix pharmacy on Jan. 27.

According to Sgt. Trent Crump with the Phoenix Police Department, three men with handguns entered the CVS Pharmacy at 35th and Glendale avenues at approximately 3 a.m.

Crump said two of the suspects tied up the employees. The other jumped the pharmacy counter and instructed the pharmacist to open the safe. The suspect took a large amount of prescription drugs from the safe then all three suspects left the store.

The suspects stole approximately 5,200 tablets, most of which were OxyContin. The estimated street value of the prescription medication was more than $100,000.

At least one of the suspects was seen scouting the location the night before the robbery, according to Crump.

On Tuesday, police released surveillance photographs of the suspects.

One of the suspects was described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a red plaid long-sleeve shirt, camouflage hat, blue jeans and black gloves.

The second suspect was a white male, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He had on a blue plaid long-sleeve shirt, green undershirt, maroon beanie cap, black gloves and a backpack.

The third suspect was described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and a maroon and yellow baseball cap.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered in this case.
