SURPRISE, Ariz. – A father and son were arrested in Surprise after their alleged involvement in a drug deal gone wrong.

Police responded to a home in the 15600 block of Saguaro Lane on Saturday in reference to a disturbance.

Officers arrived on scene and found Sean Corwin, 35, beating on the front door of the home. He had reportedly shut the power off to the home.

During police questioning, Corwin reportedly told officers his son had sold marijuana to a 14-year-old at a nearby park, but the teen ran home and didn’t pay his son the $400 he owed.

After their investigation, police determined Corwin used his 16-year-old son to conduct the transaction and then went to the 14-year-old’s home after he refused to pay.

The marijuana in question was located inside the 14-year-old’s home. Two more bags of marijuana were found inside Corwin’s home in the 15900 block of Central Street.

Child Protective Services were notified after Corwin admitted to using his son to sell drugs. He is being held at a Maricopa County jail and faces charges including possession of marijuana for sale, sale of marijuana to a minor and possession of a firearm during a drug offense.

His 16-year-old son faces possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. The 14-year-old who allegedly bought the drugs faces possession of marijuana. Both teens are being held at the Maricopa County Durango Juvenile Facility.
