BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) -- A pilot was slightly injured after a small plane crashed at an airport west of Phoenix.

Authorities say the nose gear collapsed on the single-engine craft as it was landing Friday afternoon at Buckeye Municipal Airport.

The plane went off the end of the runway, but rescue crews say the pilot suffered minor injuries and was the only person aboard.

The name of the pilot isn't immediately available.
