Woman wanted for hit-and-run arrested on plane before flight to MexicoPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – A woman wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Denver was arrested in Phoenix just minutes before flying to Mexico.
Norma Vera-Nolasco, 32, was taken into custody after boarding a flight at Sky Harbor International Airport.
According to Phoenix police, the plane was pulling away from the gate when officers were notified Vera-Nolasco was on board the plane.
“Information was relayed from the tower to the plane to come back to the gate and our officers went on the plane and took her into custody without incident,” Sgt. Tommy Thompson said.
Vera-Nolasco is accused of running over a parking valet. Phoenix police say she used an alias to board the Mexico-bound flight at Sky Harbor.
