PHOENIX (AP) -- A Phoenix food company is voluntarily recalling four of its products because of a possible health risk.
Mama Rose's Gourmet Foods says some batches of its 12-ounce jars of Cilantro Con Queso, Garlic Con Queso, Viper Venom Con Queso and Hopi Corn Salsa possibly are contaminated with a bacterium that can cause a life-threatening illness.
Consumers are being warned not to use the four products, which were distributed only in Arizona and Washington through retail stores and gift shops.
Mama Rose's officials say the recalled products all have six-digit lot numbers beginning with 260 and 270. The con queso jars have expiration dates of Jan. 10, 2012 and earlier and the salsa jars Jan. 6, 2013 and earlier.
Buyers of the affected products are being urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
