Police chase down two robbery suspects

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Scottsdale police chased down an armed suspect Monday afternoon after reports of a pharmacy robbery.

Officers responded to an alarm at the Sun Drugs Pharmacy near Via Linda and 108th Street. When they arrived, they encountered an armed suspect exiting the store.

A foot chase ensued and the suspect attempted to discard his gun.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody along with a second suspect who was seen leaving on foot in the opposite direction.

The handgun was recovered by police.

The victim told police the two suspects entered with their faces covered by cloth and showing a handgun.

One of the suspects tied the victim's hands and then took narcotics and cash from the register.

Both suspects were booked on counts of armed robbery and kidnapping.
