PHOENIX -- A Peoria teenager crashed a car into a Phoenix home early Wednesday morning, but the homeowner never heard a thing.
It happened at about 3 a.m. in the area of Seventh Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
According to investigators, a 16-year-old from a group home in Peoria took a car belonging to one of the employees.
Police spotted the teen driving recklessly. A few minutes later, the boy crashed the car into the house. The impact did not wake up the homeowners.
"We didn't hear anything," the husband said. "We heard the doorbell ring and the officers were here. We walked out and saw what happened and we were just taken aback, obviously."
Nobody was seriously hurt.
