Coffee pot likely to blame for restaurant fire

PHOENIX - A West Valley restaurant will likely have its doors closed for the day because of an early morning fire.

Firefighters showed up to the Paradise Bakery near 99th Avenue and McDowell Road to find a small fire had started inside the store.

The building's sprinkler system contained the flames until firefighters could arrive and put them out.

It's believed an electrical short from a coffee pot is what caused the fire.

No one was inside the bakery at the time of the fire, so no one was hurt.

The restaurant suffered smoke and water damage.
