Thousands run in PF Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

PHOENIX - Around 30,000 runners hit the streets of Phoenix on Sunday for the PF Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half Marathon.

The racers paid tribute to victims of the Tucson tragedy with a moment of silence, followed by the national anthem.

The winner for the men's group was Josh Cox with a time of 2 hours 17 minutes. For the women, Sally Meyerhoff from Tempe took the prize finishing in 2 hours 37 minutes. The winner of the men's half marathon was Shawn Forrest who finished in 1 hour 3 minutes and Madai Perez finished first for the women in 1 hour 11 minutes.
