Three UMC employees fired for accessing recordsPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- University Medical Center fired three employees accused of improperly accessing the confidential medical records of some of Saturday's shooting victims.
UMC has a zero tolerance policy on patient privacy violations.
Another company fired a contracted nurse after UMC informed them of the violation.
All the affected patients have been notified, no word which victims or how many had their privacy breached.
UMC officials don't think any confidential information was publicly released.
