PHOENIX - Undercover officers arrested three suspects after they attempted to sell them fraudulent tickets for the BCS bowl game.

On Saturday night, police allege that Jimmy Jaipur, 23, David Henry, 26, and Jarmal Benjamin, 30, arranged to meet with plain-clothes officers and offered to sell them fraudulent tickets.

They were arrested near 38th and Van Buren streets.

Phoenix police allege that several individuals purchased tickets from the suspects.

All three suspects are out-of-state residents who sold several thousand dollars worth of fraudulent tickets.

Phoenix police remind the community to remember to purchase tickets from a reputable broker or from someone who is willing to go to the ticket office or gate to confirm the tickets are legitimate prior to completing the purchase.
