GLENDALE, Ariz. – Detectives arrested eight suspects involved in the sale of fake BCS Championship tickets.

Detectives had been tracking the suspects' movements since they arrived in Phoenix late last week. The suspects were from the East Coast.

Detectives served search warrants at two hotels where they were staying near 51st Avenue and Latham Street in Phoenix.

Investigators seized 200 fake tickets to Monday's BCS Championship game between Auburn and Oregon.

The eight suspects were booked on felony charges related to the possession and sales of fraudulent tickets.

The suspects are Rene Villa, 47, Dennel Friday, 31, Calvin Flournoy, 33, Shawn Turney, 30, Keener James, 24, Kevin Walker, 39, Tkem Viverette, 31, and Keith Tingman, 37.

Police warn to use caution when purchasing tickets from a seller.
