Jeffs finds attorneyPosted: Updated:
Polygamous leader Warren Jeffs now has a lawyer to defend him against charges of child sexual abuse stemming from a 2008 raid on a polygamous compound in El Dorado Texas.
He'd spent weeks searching for legal representation. At a pretrial hearing Wednesday his new attorney asked the judge to delay the trial, saying he needs more time to prepare a defense.
Lesser charges against Jeffs were dropped in Arizona and a conviction overturned in Utah.
