Oregon, Auburn practice to different soundtracksPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- With Wolfmother's "Joker And The Thief" blaring from massive speakers, Oregon's players broke into a rhythmic clap, then sprinted across the field for a series of quick-hitting drills.
Even in practice, these Ducks can fly.
Exhibiting the same kind of frenetic pace it plays with in games, Oregon (12-0) went through its second spirited practice at a north Phoenix high school on Tuesday in preparation for the BCS national title game on Jan. 10.
About 20 miles away, Auburn (13-0) held its first practice in the desert without a soundtrack, but with similar intensity.
The Tigers were greeted by a large contingent of fans after arriving Monday night and appeared focused and relaxed as they finished up practice on Tuesday.
