MESA, Ariz. -- Mesa police are searching for three suspects who stole iPads from a Target store Monday morning.

According to Detective Michael Melendez with the Mesa Police Department, three males entered the Target at Southern Avenue and Longmore shortly before noon and contacted an employee in the electronics section.

One of the males asked the employee to open the iPad case so he could buy one. When the case was opened, another suspect bumped the employee out of the way and told her that they were stealing the iPads.

Melendez said the employee tried to go around the suspect to lock the case, but he used his body to block her.

The three suspects emptied the iPad case then ran out the back door, heading north across Southern Avenue.

The suspects were described as white males in their late teens or early 20s.

The first suspect was wearing a black windbreaker-type jacket, jeans and a white baseball cap. He had longer black hair and a shaggy beard.

The second suspect was wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering down the front left side and black pants.

The third suspect was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and light-colored cargo shorts.
