TEMPE, Ariz. – There has been an arrest in connection with a double murder that took place in August.

Police say the motive was apparently revenge but the suspect may not have killed his intended targets.

Craig Devine was sentenced to prison eight years ago. He served seven years after shooting a man.

One of the witnesses who cooperated with police was James Call, Sr. In August of this year the bodies of Call’s 19-year-old son and another man were discovered by police in a Tempe warehouse.

Both victims had been shot and stabbed to death.

Tempe detectives arrested Devine early Thursday morning, as well as another ex-convict. They face two counts each of first-degree murder.

Investigators believe Devine’s real target was James Call, Sr. and the motive was revenge.
