Winter weather gradually ends ThursdayPosted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says winter weather will gradually come to an end from west to east later Thursday.
The winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon above 6,500 feet.
Steady snowfall has moved east of Flagstaff and will affect the eastern Mogollon Rim and White Mountains through midmorning. Snow showers will persist from the western Mogollon Rim northward to the Kaibab Plateau.
Some of the showers could be heavy for a brief time Thursday morning. Snow showers will come to end in all areas by early afternoon.
Snow storm totals through noon Thursday are six to 12 inches across the Kaibab Plateau and two to 10 inches over the Mogollon Rim and White Mountains.
