SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police officers arrested a Phoenix man Tuesday after he reportedly showed up at Saguaro High School to meet with a 16-year-old girl.

The teen told the school resource officer that she was being stalked by a man who had arrived in the school parking lot.

Scottsdale police officers contacted the suspect, Michael Guthier, who said he and the victim were involved in an ongoing six-month Internet and cell phone relationship.

When Guthier let the victim know he was arriving to meet with her, she became frightened and alerted authorities, according to Scottsdale police Officer David Pubins.

Guthier was arrested and booked on one count of furnishing obscene material to a minor and aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation.
