Tucson chef brings holiday tradition to children's hospitalPosted: Updated:
Children look forward to everything Christmas all year long, the presents, decorations and cookies. Employees from a foothills resort brought all of that spirit to children who might have missed out on it otherwise.
Bowls of candy and a little help from the chef at Azul Restaurant distracted sick children from their struggles.
"It's exciting. It reminds me about the Christmas spirit and what everything's about and its inspiring," said Azul Restaurant Chef Amanda Lindquist. "Some of the kids were really excited about it, said they hadn't been this excited in weeks."
Brothers and sisters of patients at Diamond Children's also got to participate in the cooking.
