PHOENIX - The winner of a $95 million Powerball ticket claimed her prize.
Sheila Verke, 64, from Fort Mohave was the winner of the $95.3 million grand prize.
Verke had the option of taking the 30-year annuity for the entire prize, but opted to take the lump sum of $49.9 million.
She said at a news conference on Monday she plans to buy an RV and help her family.
According to the Arizona Lottery, the $95 million winning ticket was sold at a Safeway store in Fort Mohave, which is northwest of Phoenix and south of Bullhead City.
Her winning ticket was drawn December 1 with the winning numbers 5-10-11-12-20 with the Powerball 2.
The state earned a total of $1.6 million from this latest run. Safeway will earn $25,000.
