Suspect holes up in Scottsdale home after pointing weapon at caregiver

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police officers took a suspect into custody following a barricade situation near 136th Street and Via Linda Friday afternoon.

According to Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark, a suspect pointed a weapon at a caregiver inside a home shortly before 1 p.m. The victim left the home uninjured and the suspect was inside alone.

Officers negotiated with the suspect and took the individual into custody at approximately 1:30 p.m.
