Simple gifts make Christmas Angels smile

Posted: Updated:

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Looking at some of the Christmas Angel tags on trees at Valley malls, you might think the requests are rather extravagant.

As April Warnecke explains, what's on those tags are wishes. While kids do like to dream big, many of those wishes are really quite simple -- a blanket or a pencil sharpener.

Every year more than 5,000 Angel tags are taken from the Christmas Angel trees and their gifts are never returned.

You can bring joy to an Arizona child in need by donating a new, unwrapped toy during Forgotten Angel Toy Drive, going on today at Chandler Fashion Center from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
