Original Arizona Constitution on display today onlyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) - Some Arizona history is on display Thursday for one day only.
The original signed Arizona State Constitution will be on display in the Arizona Capitol Museum in Phoenix for the opening of a new exhibit that marks the 100th anniversary of the document that provides the legal and policy framework for the state's government.
A brief program in the historic Senate chambers in the Old Capitol in the afternoon will mark the occasion.
Secretary of State Bennett calls it a "one-time opportunity" for Arizonans to viewed the signed Constitution as well as a federal document that appointed Arizona's first territorial governor and authorized the territory's organization.
