Suspicious package closes Tucson intersectionPosted: Updated:
A suspicious package consisting of a red tube strapped to a pole at the intersection of Ina and Oracle kept police busy Monday afternoon.
Some worried the tube could possibly be a pipe bomb, and Pima County sheriff's deputies were dispatched. Turned out the tube was just some plans a contractor forgot to bring with him.
"We suggest for other contractors in the area or anybody building a building to put those in front a clear canister so the ocntents can clearly be identified so this doesn't happen in the future," said Pima County Sheriff's deputy Jason Ogan.
Police did not blow up the tube and there were no injuries.
