Oro Valley holiday festival; BICAS art auction

Another event that drew in a large crowd, the oro valley holiday festival.

People went in search of the perfect gift. Vendors were selling one of kind artworks, jewelry and purses over at the Oro Valley Market Place. One artist got some attention for his unique metal work.

"Well my artwork is original and they were all individual pieces I cut everything free hand its not computerized," said artist Sergio Vega.

The festival featured more than 200 local and national artists.


And more art, with a unique twist. Things made from recycled bicycle parts.

The Bicycle Inter-Community Action and Salvage, or "BICAS" held it's 15th Annual Art Auction and celebration.

It's an non-profit organization that promotes cycling and a healthy environment, by teaching people how to fix their bikes and recycle them. The auction featured more than 270 works of art donated by the community.
