GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police have arrested two people -- a man and a woman -- in a stabbing that left a man in critical condition.
Pejham Elahi, 27, is charged with aggravated assault. Lindy Scritchfield, 26, faces a charge of evidence tampering.
The stabbing happened Sunday night at the Marian Lee Apartments near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. According to witnesses, it all started with an argument.
Police have identified the victim as Mario Escobedo.
Investigators said Escobedo knocked on doors asking for help after the attack. He was air-lifted to a local hospital.
Police have not released any details about what led up to the argument and subsequent stabbing, nor have they said how Escobedo knew Elahi and Scritchfield.
