J.B. Manson, Greater Nogales SCC Port Authority, says 48-percent of the vegetables entering the U.S. from Mexico come through Nogales. He says the produce season here generally runs from October through March, due to the favorable “winter” climate for the Mexican growing season. He says melons, squash and tomatoes are the crops most in demand in the U.S. and are supplied by Mexican-grown products.
