Global health forum at UAPosted: Updated:
A global health forum at the U of A Tuesday night looked at critical health issues.
Public health experts from the nations capital were in town. They discussed millennium development goals, globesity, and terrorism and preparedness.
"The university is the place where we discuss these complex issues and look for solutions," said U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona M.D. "So, to be able to bring national and global leaders here and have them discuss with our faculty and the community, it's very important."
The forum was free and open to the public.
