PHOENIX – A local family says they had plans to adopt one child but wound up taking three children into their home.

Arizona has over 10,000 children in foster care and those kids are typically in the system for about three years and are often moved in and out of homes.

This Thanksgiving three boys say they are thankful for their new family and their new name.

Michael and Alisa Zoccoli have three biological boys, Tyler, Joey and Steven, and now they have three adopted boys, Kenny, Isaiah and James.

Michael and Alisa say they initially planned to adopt one baby girl but the boys’ faces changed their minds.
