Suspect with binder commits armed robbery at Mesa bank

MESA, Ariz. – Police need the public’s help locating a man who committed armed robbery at a Mesa bank.

Police say the suspect entered a Wells Fargo branch located at 365 S. Power Road Tuesday at about 12:30 p.m. and approached a teller while speaking on a cell phone.

The suspect opened a black binder and displayed a note demanding money and a black gun next to the note pointed at the teller.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash which he put in the black binder and fled eastbound through the parking lot.

He is described as a Hispanic or Native American man in his 30s standing about six-feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has scars on his face and was wearing a black beanie, sunglasses, a light-colored jacket, jeans and white sneakers at the time of the robbery.
