Ambulance involved in fatal collision on Beeline HighwayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – An ambulance was involved in a fatal crash on the Beeline Highway in the northeast Valley.
A spokesperson with Rural Metro Fire says a wrong-way driver crashed head-on into the ambulance Tuesday at about 8 p.m. on Highway 87 near the Fort McDowell casino.
The driver of the car was killed. The ambulance driver and passenger reportedly had to be cut from the wreckage. They are listed in critical condition.
