Plane leaves Tucson, makes emergency landing at Fresno airportPosted: Updated:
FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- A San Francisco-bound United Express jet that was forced to make an emergency landing at Fresno Yosemite International Airport has undergone repairs to a steering and braking system.
The flight's operator, SkyWest Airlines, says crews on Tuesday fixed the problem in one of the CRJ-200's hydraulic systems that led the pilot to divert the aircraft to Fresno.
The plane touched down safely around 1 p.m. Monday, about an hour and a half after it left Tucson, Ariz.
SkyWest spokeswoman Marissa Snow says no one was injured.
All 37 passengers and three crew members were taken by bus to San Francisco.
