Recycled Rides program surprises woman with carPosted: Updated:
One local mom who didn't own a car got a big surprise Monday.
Estreela Tapia was given a new car free of charge thanks to 911 Collision Centers and Geico.
For the past year, the mother of three has been struggling for months to get to and from work while trying to get her kids to school.
She was shocked by the gift.
"I'm very very grateful," said Tapia.
The gift was part of a program that runs all over the nation called Recycled Rides, just in time for Thanksgiving.
